The Cornell Lab of Ornithology has a great bird identification site
here with multiple methods--browse by taxonomy, by shape (silhouettes! very useful!), by name, or by common birds. The site includes audio files of bird calls. And just for fun,
here is a link to live streaming footage of the Decorah Eagles in the fish hatchery in Decorah, IA, courtesy of the
Raptor Resource Project. The footage runs 24 hours a day from a hidden infrared camera--and it is amazing. Watch the mother eagle feeding her chicks! (This photograph left is from Wikipedia, which sometimes,
really delivers.)
