Done! Just backed Scythian's 7th, new, and forthcoming Album ROOTS AND STONES

I just backed Scythian as they move forward on producing their seventh album Roots and Stones. This album will contain all original material, as did an earlier album American Shanty -- and if it's as good as that, we're in for a treat. I've heard at least one song already live in concert and it was classic Scythian: profound, fun, and eminently danceable!

I had the privilege of interviewing Danylo Fedoryka to tell Scythian's story in By an Unexpected Way: Stories of the New Evangelization. Chapter 9 tells of their decision to embrace a life making music and bringing people together. They've gone on to play around the country and to start their own festival Appaloosa every September.

What a human answer to a human need! It takes a lot of guts to quit your job and try to make a living in music. And it takes a lot of grace and humility to follow the Holy Spirit through the ups and downs of life in 2020 and in every other year.
