outstanding. His works seem to combine something ancient and medieval: the classical beauty of form and body with the kinetic particular personality of a medieval saint guarding Chartres. He captures people both as they are and as they ought to be. The American School in Switzerland commissioned him to do the fountain above. What a good idea!
