Sound Page

Here is the "sound page," a good way to build listening skills and hear more outdoors.  Where did I get this from?  I can't remember.

Here's the directions.  Sit down inside or outside, though outside is more fun.  With pencil and paper, begin to sketch out the sounds you hear relative to your position.  Try ten to twenty minutes for a starter.  Use words, sounds, or even little pictures.  Hear a bird?  Write "birds cawing" or draw a bird or write "caw! caw!"  Whatever you like.  Just listen.  You'll be amazed by how attentive you become.
