Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain

I meant to recommend Betty Edward's Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain, and found she has a whole website here with information about the book, her workshops, exercises, theory, etc. I was taught to draw with this book, and found it a great way to introduce younger students to drawing. Her techniques involve really looking at things--which, even if you have NO interest in drawing, is something every human should try. Learning attention is never wasted. And here's why, via an article by Simone Weil that I posted recently in Poet: Education for Joy.

Glad you posted this. A friend in high school (or was it college?), which interested me in drawing, and the physiology of drawing. Perhaps this is a good reminder to get back on it!
